Money Saving Mom's 4 Weeks to a More Organized Home Day 13: Clean Your Cabinets

I love Wednesdays! My husband works from home and it is a church night! It is sort of like my day off since the children have adult supervision that is not just me!
The top of the Fridge was clean. My cabinets were pretty clean because I scrubbed them really good 6 months ago after we move in! I did wipe them down again today too just to be sure I didnt' miss anything! The top of the cabinets is a whole different story!

I am a little ashamed to show you what the top of my cabinets look like, especially because I have been doing the "decently and in order" series on how I keep my home clean and organized!
Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

I am going to take a wild guess and say that the top of the cabinets have not been cleaned in O' I don't know 7 years at least! Really disturbing that the people who lived here before obviously had decorations up here and didn't wipe up the residue after they took down the decorations!! Anyway........I have not made things any better since moving in until today =)

Soapy water would not work with my rag. I had to bust out the scrubby thingy with de greaser it was so bad!

It was well worth it though!

Like night and day =) Thank you Money Saving Mom for this assignment as I would not have tackled this project otherwise. This is going on my clean every six months check sheet for sure!

Looks great! I wish I had the energy to be apart of this challenge. I only have 5 weeks left of my pregnancy and I hope after that (at some point) I will get to do this.

Wow only 5 weeks left! I would save this project for another 6 months or so =) I almost fell one time jumping off the cabinets, so I can't imagine doing this preggo =)

Thank you for posting these! Prayerfully, I will be able to stay at home with my little ones (2, soon to be 3 in July) very soon, and I can hardly wait to tackle this challenge! We moved into our home last August, and to be honest, we still have some boxes in a closet that aren't unpacked! There is much to be done before our third blessing arrives. I'm proposing to my boss (who happens to be my dad) that I be able to work from home until my children are in kindergarten...we'll see how that goes. We can't forego the income, but I can't bear not to be there for my children either. Sorry for rambling...

Melissa, that would be awesome to stay home with your little ones =) I know when I started staying home with just one we were in deep debt and came up short several hundred a month and you know what God provided beyond my wildest imagination! Right now we are in a similar spot(except with no debt) with my hubby tryna get his insurance career off the ground and God still provides miraculously =) It would have not worked out on paper then or now having me stay home, but He is faithful =) I know he will provide for you too =)
