Money Saving Mom's 4 Weeks to a More Organized Home Day 12: Clean Oven/Microwave

This morning I woke up a little later than I would have liked. I got up around 7:30am. I read most of my bible reading in the bed and just admired my little princess sleeping next to me since I had gotten her to nurse around 6am=)

Then the 3 bandidos awoke and I realized the day had arrived without my workout or completed bible reading =(

So I did my day somewhat backwards on my check sheet.

The assignment for today was to clean out your oven and microwave. Christian took this picture of me with my camera phone and he must have been shaking...lol

You most likely cannot tell the difference in the picture but I did take everything out and clean it with soapy water.

The after Microwave shot.

The oven inside was pretty clean so I just wiped it out with water =)

The after result no more baked on crumbs =)

The stove top has been bothering me lately because it has spots on it that I couldn't seem to remove =( So I put a comment in on this morning's post on how to get rid of them. I got several replies on MSM all great advice! The most popular was baking soda and a razor.

Can you see what I am talking about with the stains even though the stove top is black?

So I dumped out a bunch of baking soda and rubbed it in with a wet rag.

Then I scraped it with my pampered Chef stoneware scraper.

All Clean!

Now it looks brand New again!!! Thank you baking soda and MSM readers for the tips =)

It is so nice to have a shiny clean oven and microwave. I even shined my teapot!

The inside of your stove is so CLEAN and the grates are so shiny!! I honestly don't think I have EVER seen a stove look like that other than in the store, but then again I never owned a newer stove- GREAT JOB!!:)

Thanks Ladies =) The stove looks so clean because it just came from Best Buy 6 months ago....lol. This is my first time owning a brand new stove and I dread the day that the grates will be brown =(

Hey I know those appliances I got the same ones at my new house :) although mine were on back order for two months. I need to clean my oven :( something spilled on the glass window... any tips?

That is funny our oven was on back order for about a month and a half too =) I love the dual heating feature =) Did something spill in between the windows or just on the surface? I have just been using glass cleaner. But if is in between the glass you will have to take apart the front door. I have done that before with a different oven and trust me you wanna have 2 people there =)

I got it on Saturday looks good as new :) I used the steam clean feature (had to look it up in the manual drawer). Then some soapy water and a little elbow grease on the window. and finished off with glass cleaner.
