Money Saving Mom's 4 Weeks to a More Organized Home Day 9: Clean Switch Plates

Mini chore today: clean bathroom in 15 minutes.....Can I just say I really don't remember leaving all this stuff out today? I really don't, but I know it was me because Chris would not have used that brush, flat iron and the clothes on the floor are definitely mine!

Empty Space is what I like to see!

I noticed the other day that our shower liner had gotten a bit grimy and I didn't feel like trying to clean the slime off...so I just bought a new one at Wal Mart for $2.

It really makes a big difference to me having a fresh liner =)

Now all of our switch plates had gotten a little icky; this is a chore I need to add to my bi anual chore check-sheet for sure!

I just wipe down with water but those little crevices still looked so yucky!

Toothpicks did just the trick to get in there and scrape off that gunk.

So nice and shiny white now....However many of my screws are in need of a coat of white spray paint!
Cleaning the switch plates reminded me about the mystery switch! This is driving me crazy, we have lived here for 6 months now and I still have no clue what this switch is to??? It did take me 3 months to figure out how to turn on our outside garage lights....lol =)

Maybe the switch is for a near by plug, so you could turn a lamp off and on with the wall switch.?

Have you checked that outlet behind you? Get a night light turn it on, plug it in the top outlet, then flip the switch see if the light goes off or on. If not repeat to the bottom outlet. Some times a switch will be to an outlet. Hey its worth a try right!
