Money Saving Mom's 4 Weeks to Fill your Freezer

So I am a little late on the new 4 week challenge....I have not been feeling the best this week with a lost voice and all, plus we had a short family conference at our Church this week. Last months challenge on cleaning/organizing your home was more up my alley......I am not much of a freezer cooker but it is never too late to start right?

So since I am behind and don't have any freezer recipees, I figured I would just copy whatever Crystal did the night before. So today would be cinnamon rolls.

After we put the ingredients in the bread machine I mixed up a cup of brown sugar with a half stick butter and a teaspoon of cinnamon.

I couldn't find a quick dough cycle on my bread machine so I just took it out after 45 minutes on the dough cycle.

Then I rolled it out and I didn't think I had any helpers but then I stepped out of the kitchen for a minute and came back to this!

Then we spread out the filling.

Enter helper number 2 and roll it up

Into the oven goes a third of the batter. Notice how clean the oven is....

Then I put some in the freezer.

The boys play around in the flour while Rachel looks on from the highchair.

Then I get a big surprise when I open the oven with lot's of smoke! The filling had decided to just melt all over the place roll off the cooking sheet and then burn the bottom of my very clean oven!
Curse you Pampered Chef pizza stone with no edges!!!!!!

Okay they are not as pretty as Money Saving Mom's and I didn't have any confectioners sugar to make the topping but the kids didn't seem to mind!

It can only get better from here right?

I have made these a lot in the past for get togethers and find they cook best in a 13X9 pan close together =)

Thanks Christine...That is what I switched the rolls too because they were not finished when I took them out!

Looks like your helpers really had a lot of fun helping. I think it is great getting all this extra baking for the freezer. So sorry you had filling run all over your clean oven.

Lol, yes they did and since I got distracted with the burning oven, the little one got down and got flour all over the couch too =)
