Mark 12:30 "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment."
I just read your article at Money Saving Mom. Congrats on your new home! I would love to "talk" with you about purchasing a home with cash, as we are hoping to do this as well this summer. Any advice/warnings?
Read your story and noticed you at in Springfield, MO. I live outside of Republic, so we are close. There are many homeschool activities, etc in the area, so welcome!
Alison, Thank you =), I would have to say that the best advice I would give is that when searching homes online if they are bank owned or short sales they often put the price lower than what they are willing to take to try and get a bidding war! This kind of gets your hopes up and also the wait is still long even if you are paying cash! However, with much prayer anything is possible =)
Trish, We attend Bible Baptist Church in Ash Grove about 16 miles north east of our home in Springfield. I would love to hear of any homeshcool events if you know of any =) Please Email me if you think of any that my family would enjoy =) Faithhopeandcharity04@yahoo.com
I enjoyed your article at MSM. You should be very proud of paying cash for a house, it is such a great step for a young family. I wanted to encourage you to keep living like you do. As an aside, I have a brother and his family in your area. He's in school at BBC until May. That's a pretty part of the state (we live on the other side -- St Louis.). :)
I really enjoyed your article on Money Saving Mom. As a pastors wife (also in Missouri!), I've also enjoyed looking at your blog. We have three children (8, 7, and 5)and also homeschool. Your story and blog were such an encouragment today!
Jilbert, thank you for reading =) I have met quite a few people that attend BBC, I think our pastor near whiteman AFB went there too. Is St. Louis not as pretty? =)

Loved your paying cash story! And I browsed through your blog and I loved seeing all the organizing you've done!! I also went through my house from TOP to BOTTOM (being motivated by "Organized Simplicity" and MSM! Ahhh, I feel so much better about how my house is organized and de-cluttered!! Loved seeing all your pics and progress! And we have so much in common- getting organized, food, faith, family, no fluoride!, etc! I feel like I know you! -unconventionalhomemaker.wordpress.com
Larlee, Thank you =) I must say that it is definitely God who gives me strength because, sometimes I just find it hard to believe I have all these little ones my home is not upside down! I am sure your home is not too bad =)
Debbie, what more details would you like to know I would be glad to share =) One of the things I forget to mention on the MSM post that saved a ton of money was we have been sharing a car for almost 5 years out of our whole 7 years of marriage =)
Unconventional Homemaker, I sometimes think the same thing when I meet some other women and I think to myself heaven is going to be such a sweet place of fellowship =)
I love your story on money saving mom! I was especially encouraged how quickly you paid off your student loans... we are working on that currently. Thanks for sharing!
Brooke, Keep up with paying off your student loans every little bit helps even if you think it is not a big deal, the little amounts you put into paying it off fast really add up!
