Decently and in Order: Linen closet before and after

Praise the Lord we made it back to my sisters house in Hampton, VA =).
While I look for rentals in the area I helped out my sister with her linen closet =)
I just loved the church we visited in the DC area called Crossroads Baptist Church! It was so sad to leave! I just get so attached to church families no matter how long we visit =) Heaven will be such a nice place =).
 Before
 Before

 After!
I do not really like my handwriting on the labels but hey until I get some more technology besides a marker and stickers it will do! My label maker I got from Wal Mart was awful; it's already out of ink and they were not very sticky at all =(.

Decently and In Order: My In-Laws Kitchen

This is the Junk Drawer.

If you do not clean your drawers out from time to time they will somehow grow trash at the bottom.

I used Glad containers and an ice cube tray to sort out all the packets of sauce.

This cabinet was not too bad because it had all the same basic categories of food and drink.

I got a $17 label maker at Wal Mart the other day to use until I get another cricut =).

Homeschooling on the Go!

I know some people must be wondering how school for our children is going with all the moving around we have done. We have managed to carry our homeschool curriculum around in two plastic hanging folder totes! We are using the ABEKA homeschool curriculum again this year after a successful 2012-2013 school year =). With the grace and mercy of God we are moving right along with this school year =). Here is how we keep everything organized on the go!

Here is everything that we need to homeschool our children this year!
2 totes, 4 boxes of ABEKA teaching cards, pencils, crayons, scissors, markers, and a stapler!

The first box is for Noah and the smaller children, the second box is Christians' =).

Here is an upclose of some books and flashcards.

This is an example of what is in one of the hanging file folders.

Rachel colors Bible pictures and decorates with stickers.

Christian loves math! I cannot believe how big he is!

Joshua is just all over the place and can hardly sit still most of the time!

Noah is a very good student and he works without complaining most days!

Every school day that is completed without behavior or attitudes needing correction is rewarded with a sticker at the bottom of the name tag. When the bottom row reaches the end of the nametag a prize will be given =)

So that is all for now! I would love to have a homeschool nook in our own home someday but for now this works great for our family =)

Phillipians 4:11 "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content."

Decently and In Order: My In-Laws Pantry

This huge pantry has a ton of storage space.......that just needed a little TLC.

My mother in-law is a master chef and entertainer! She has lots of serving items for large parties!
Plus the bottom of her pantry has many unopened gifts that people have given her ...she may be donating some to our family when we get our own place =).

The food and serving items were all mixed together and you could hardly walk to reach everything!

One whole shelf of just disposable napkins plates and utensils!

She had about 18 boxes of cake mix and 13 jars of frosting!

Now all the cans have been reunited with their families =)

Lots of flower vases and candles for table decorating!

2 baskets full of tablecloths for any occasion!

I found some random Christmas items that are now all together =)

Look at this box of randomness that didn't belong in the pantry!! My mother in-law had no problem with just donating this instead of trying to find a different place in the house for it all =)

Life on the Go....

Well it has been 1 month and 3 days since we have had our own home.  Life has been very different but I am learning to adapt. We traveled through Tennessee to visit one of my best friends with her 3 boys!

Then we stopped by North Carolina to visit Chris' Best friend who just had his very first baby at home! (Yes Chris has a friend besides Jesus...lol)

I enjoyed showing this new mama the proper way to wrap her little one in the Moby!

We then travelled to Hampton, VA and stayed with my sister in her 800sqft apartment for one week.

The sleeping arrangements were interesting to say the least!( They didn't' stay like that the whole night we had some airbeds with us and my niece went back to her room =)

We have been in Stafford, VA with my in-laws for the last week. They just finished their 2,000 sqft. basement and we have plenty of space down here. Stafford is just 30 minutes away from the rest of my family in Alexandria, VA. so we have been blessed to visit lots of family the last week! Chris is going to try out working with my sister selling insurance inside of the public schools in the hampton roads area. We will be looking for a rental home down there in a few days =)
