I don't even watch the news.....but the supposed shooting at the sodomite bar in Orlando has pretty much taken over my facebook news feed with christians trying to figure out what the correct response is to such an event. For the most part many claiming to believe the Bible are mourning for the loss of these people and calling them innocent victims. The funny thing is most are only mourning the loss of 49 lives lost...not the 50 which includes the shooter. Now why is that? Why are they not mourning the loss of Omar Mateen and airing his life ambitions, holding candle light vigils and donating thousands to a gofundme account to help support his wife and child left behind? I will tell you why: people believe he deserved to die because of the wrong he did. You see our society although far from the God of the Bible we still find it morally unacceptable to support and love unconditionally a person who is a mass murderer, because justice says he deserved death after his evil deeds. That is perfectly correct by the Bible (Gen. 9:6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man).......but there is another group of people God demands the death penalty for....... people are overlooking because they are watching too much Fox News. It's time we as christians stop letting society dictate what evil deeds are worthy of death and turn back to the Bible!!!
Let's start with clearing up a common misconception that all sin is just as bad as any other sin. I mean you know if you stole a cookie from the cookie jar or raped a 5 year old....well you know we are all just sinners and deserve a second chance at life right??? Wrong!!! Some sins do not merit a second chance at life they merit the death penalty! Among these capital crimes are rape, adultery, murder, beastiality and wait for it....................homosexuality (Lev. 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."; Romans 1 ) The Bible tells us that there is sin that is greater and there are greater punishments for certain sins. John 19:11 "Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin". Let's please stop acting like all sin is the same, it's a lie from the pit of hell. I would like to see someone turn the other cheek just the same way to someone who stole a pencil off their desk and someone whole molests their child. Yes all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, but not all sin does God give the government the responsibility of administering the death penalty. Romans 13:4 "For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil."
From a biblical perspective there are some that deserve to die right away not just live their lives out until the normal course of events plays out and they die like everyone else as part of the curse of sin. For this reason, I have absolutely no problem with the pastors in our country who are taking a stand and saying that the sodomites killed in Orlando were worthy of death. It was wrong the way that they died, because Omar Mateen was not an ordained minister of God to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil....but the truth is if our nation followed the Lord and his PERFECT LAW there would have been no Pulse nightclub shooting because they would have all already had been put to death by the government. The Bible is very clear that the way someone becomes one that goes after strange flesh and lusts after a member of the same sex is because God has given them over to reprobate mind, it's too late for them. I am an independant baptist and it is often mentioned in sermons against calvinism that there is a point where when we reject God the last time, he gives up on you and you will become incapable of receiving salvation. (Proverbs 1:28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me." For instance in Exodus when Pharaoh hardens his heart against the Lord and then he gets to the point of no return where God hardens his heart and he is no longer capable of turning to the Lord because God has given up on him. After this happens where God has given you up this is when you begin to do animalistic type of behavior like lusting after children, animals and those of the same sex. At this point it's just too late. Please read Romans 1 to see I am telling the truth. People have normal sinful desires of the flesh like stealing or committing adultery who are not reprobate....but no normal person has the desire to take and molest a child. This can only be done by those who have been given over to a reprobate mind, God says in the New Testament by the way that those with a reprobate mind are worthy of death. Read it for yourself.
Romans 1:18 "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."
