Tula Baby Carrier Review

After over 6 years of being a faithful Moby wrap momma..... .I stepped outside my baby wearing comfort zone and got a soft structured carrier! I wanted something to do a back carry so I could continue baby wearing while chopping vegetables and such since my almost 9 month old is just so curious and busy that a front carry is now dangerous around the kitchen work!  I have heard from different sources a back carry in a stretchy fabric like the Moby can be dangerous. I researched online and almost got an ergo on craigslist until I read scores of articles about counterfeit Ergos getting harder and harder to spot! So I Stumbled Upon another carrier called A Tula. I looked at the retail price of $149 and went on craigslist thinking I could get one for half price or so like other baby items. To my shock and dismay people were selling their used Tula wraps for upwards of $220 on our local Craigslist. ..was everyone making a typo on their prices??? Nope! Tula carriers are found above retail on used carriers because the fabric prints retire and become hard to find so people then sell their used ones for more!! So I waited and saved and finally found a lady selling for $135.....but I just couldn't justify spending that much on something used and driving back and forth to get it for just $14 less than a brand new one shipped to my door! I finally had enough money to buy one mostly from babysitting and selling things on Craigslist =). I ordered last Thursday and had it in the mail the following Monday! I tried it on right away it took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to back carry by myself.
Moses seemed to like it very much. I am still getting used to getting the carrier on and tightening it appropriate ly to get the most comfortable fit!
Chris tried it out too!
I also tried the front carry.......I do prefer my Moby wrap for the front carry though! That may be due to the fact that I have perfected how I wrap it and spread the fabric and I haven't yet gotten used to adjusting the straps on the Tula ...only time will tell.  And if I am not in love with this carrier as much as I thought I could make some money selling it....lol.  Until next time Happy Baby Wearing!
