Hello everyone =) This is a post that lines scripture up with the Disney movie Frozen. This is not about subliminal messages, the homosexual agenda from Disney, mind control theories of music, the immodest dress of Elsa, the Let it Go song or my opinion just Bible =). This is not popular opinion but the bible says in Galatians 1:10
For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
1) Is "Dark" magic worse than "Light" magic?
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Matthew 24:24
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
The Bible tells us that Satan is going to be sneaky to try and deceive the elect. He can be upfront and open with those who do not know Christ and make movies like Harry Potter but will be very subtle with believers.
I believe Satan is after our children just like a hungry lion will target the young prey who do not have as much defense.
1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
God would rather us be hot or cold not luke warm. A "Hot" movie would be one with witches with black capes and pointy hats, demons and cursing. A movie with no magic and a godly message would be "Cold" and a movie with just a little magic and a little bit of immodesty or a little bit of sexual innuendos would be "warm". Which would you say Frozen fits into?
Revelation 3:15-16
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
2) Is God really that serious about just a little magic?
There are tons of scriptures about witchcraft, sorcerers, magicians and they are all bad! There are no "good" witches in the Bible. There is no "good" magic in the Bible. There is either a miracle from God or Satan.
God just showed me this yesterday morning while reading my Bible about how a sorcerer was trying to turn a man from the faith who had earlier desired to hear God's word!
Acts 13:7-10
Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.
8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him.
10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
We don't know what he was wearing or how his voice sounded. I think God left that out on purpose so we believers wouldn't try to categorize sorcery and satanism into a certain look. We know Satan can transform into beautiful things and need to be on guard to those things that seem right.
demonic (dɪˈmɒnɪk) | |
— adj | |
1. | of, relating to, or characteristic of a demon; fiendish |
2. | inspired or possessed by a demon, or seemingly so: |
Revelation 21:8
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
3) Isn't there a good christian message in the end?
Hermione reminds Harry of the importance of friendship and bravery.
When Harry was possessed by Voldemort in Order of the Phoenix, he was able to save himself using the Power the Dark Lord Knows Not, the power of love.
Here are some comments on the movie
I agree with Rick. The Narnia and The Lord of the Rings films have also been “denuded of the Christian presence” as you described it, but as in Harry Potter, the Christian meaning is still apparent in spite of that fact. These three great sagas simply cannot be presented on film without at least some of the Christian symbolism and meaning being present because the Christian elements are so integral to the story itself.
Ra
I wonder why some catholic priests and other self righteous non catholic christian leaders fail to see the christian symbolism in movies such as these
I believe allowing just a little magic gives the adversary a chance to speak reproachfully as you can see the human reasoning behind all the defenders of Frozen are identical to the "darker" movies defenders. I don't want this thought in my children's heart ever........"Wellllllll maybe just a little of (magic, alcohol, sex, ...you fill in the sin) won't hurt any"
Hebrews 3:13
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
If you would like to comment that I am reaching too far, being ridiculous or missing the main point of the movie please don't waste your time I have already read it all before on facebook =)
