Life on the Go....

Well it has been 1 month and 3 days since we have had our own home.  Life has been very different but I am learning to adapt. We traveled through Tennessee to visit one of my best friends with her 3 boys! 

Then we stopped by North Carolina to visit Chris' Best friend who just had his very first baby at home! (Yes Chris has a friend besides Jesus...lol)

I enjoyed showing this new mama the proper way to wrap her little one in the Moby!

We then travelled to Hampton, VA and stayed with my sister in her 800sqft apartment for one week. 

The sleeping arrangements were interesting to say the least!( They didn't' stay like that the whole night we had some airbeds with us and my niece went back to her room =)

 We have been in Stafford, VA with my in-laws for the last week. They just finished their 2,000 sqft. basement and we have plenty of space down here. Stafford is just 30 minutes away from the rest of my family in Alexandria, VA. so we have been blessed to visit lots of family the last week! Chris is going to try out working with my sister selling insurance inside of the public schools in the hampton roads area. We will be looking for a rental home down there in a few days =) 

It's So Hard to Say Goodbye!

 Mary my partner in crime ....I mean partner in preventing crime in our Neighborhood and making sure neighbors kept up with City of Springfield standards. Without her I do not know if our house would have sold so quickly with all the trash and crime associated with two of the homes right next us!

I know I forgot alot of people that I will miss but didn't get a picture of before we left like....All of our church family especially Mrs. Young, Ms. Pam, the teen girls, young boys, Mrs. Long, Ms. Kim.........and my favorite of all our pastor's wife Jill O'Neil! 

I will miss all of you guys and can't wait til' we meet again =)

Decently and In Order: My First Project House!

This 800 Sqft Apartment was bursting at the seams! This family of 3 just moved from a larger luxury apartment in order to save some money....but didn't consider how they were going to save space once they downsized =) Although overwhelming at first most items we unpacked found a home =) The most challenging part was that the boxes packed were not organized so some boxes had kid's toys, kitchen items and office items all mixed in!

 As part of my organizing service I also will throw in some interior design and hang photos and wall decor =).

 A salad dressing fanatic and health supplement enthusiast.....but things were very hard to find!

 Among the chaos there were many of the same items opened because it was believed the extra item had been used already or was missing....hence the 6 jars of organic peanut butter on the side of refrigerator!

 I loved all the pretty pink baskets and bins this family already had to use!

 Rachel tried desperately to feed all these hungry babies who had been all but forgotten about in a large pop up bin.....

 so we decided to display them right next to a bin of all their bottles and accessories!

Shoes shoes and more shoes! Believe it or not there was actually an over the door shoe organizer where most of these shoes went that had just not been put away!

Our Blessed Estate Sale

Well I have been pretty absent from my blog lately and didn't want to alarm anyone with all the many changes going on with our family but now that things are somewhat settled I can fill everyone in =) When we moved to Missouri 2 years ago we had just recently paid off all of our $65K worth of debt, paid for a home in cash, saved a years worth of living in the bank but most importantly found a great place to serve the Lord at Bible Baptist Church. The only thing missing was a good job to provide for our family....well that only thing missing unfortunately just never came to pass. Despite many applications and advice from church family the jobs seemed to pay about $10/hr. Some even less, my husband went to Dillons and they offered $7.30/hr. Knowing that would not sustain our family of 6/7( after Gideon was born); Chris tried his best to start up a self employed insurance business in some of the rural areas of Missouri. About a year of spending just a few thousand dollars less than what income was made in the business plus providing for daily living expenses we found ourselves going right back into debt =(. We still waited and prayed and waited and prayed for almost another year that God would provide a miraculous increase with a different job or in the current insurance business. We had a couple of bright spots one being an interview with Kraft....but God had different plans for us =). After much prayer We decided to put our home on the market. Just 5 weeks later we had an offer just $900 off of our asking price of $87,900.  Then the question of where exactly we were going and how much moving things would cost came to mind and we just didn't have peace about dropping a couple thousand dollars on moving and storing things considering how fast money can make itself wings and fly away...lol.  We sold everything in our home that did not fit in our Honda Odyssey!

 We sold everything in the kitchen except the juicer!

 We sold lots of clothes, christmas decorations, home decor, bins, books, towels, bedding every piece of furniture!

 All of the lawn equipment and tools had to go as well!

Every toy except the boy's tiny legos and Rachels 2 baby dolls were up for sale!

The things that were leftover which wasn't much considering our sale was on a Tuesday and half a day on Wednesday were donated to Big D's a christian run business who sells used furniture but also takes donations to distribute to families in need all to share the gospel of Jesus Christ! So after about 60 text messages from craigslist, 3 days of back breaking labor(not really lol), and lots of help from church family and neighbors God blessed  us with over $3,000! I do not know how we made that much money but I am forever grateful to God and our many friends! Even our church family was out to help everyday of it with a joyful attitude despite the very real possibility of our family not being able to serve the Lord alongside them this side of heaven.=) Thank you Everyone !!

We are now in Stafford, VA at my in laws They have just finished their 1900 sqft inlaw suite and have rolled our the red carpet for our return =) Please pray for wisdom for our families next move =)

Organization Inspiration: Kitchen cabinet basket labels

 I made these with my cricut like the last labels I did for the pantry baskets. This time instead of using ribbon to place the labels on the basket I used velcro stickers on the label and basket. I also used my new sewing machine to stitch the two pieces of paper together =). I am very new to sewing. One of the ladies at our church is giving me lessons =).
